Yesterday we were at the presentation of the Route of the Skrei 2013, the “cod's most sybaritic”, that Paco Roncero prepared in multiple tapas full of flavor, aroma, texture and beauty that I share with you today.

The truth is that it is a real pleasure to be able to attend events like this to enjoy the work one of the great chefs in Spain and of the great quality of product from the Sea of Norway, which was presented to us as Skrei and the Norwegian salmon.

Presentation Path Skrei 2013

Those who follow us on Twitter probably have seen the photographs live from the event, which was attended by people as relevant as the Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Issues of Norway, Lisbeth Berg-Hansen, the Ambassador of Norway in Spain, and how not, Paco Roncero.

One of the great curiosities that were able to learn about the Skrei in the presentation, is that it travels 4000 miles to get to the Lofoten Islands, the only place where you can be caught.

During the presentation we said that this type of cod was ideal to prepare a multitude of recipes, from tapas to stews, but it was not until when we tested that we were able to give an account of all this to a personal level.
