Sautéed chicken ras el hanout with wild rice
Today's recipe is simple but with an exotic touch that turns it into something awesome. I have to try ras el hanout!
I have fallen in love... Every time I open the closet where I keep all the spices, I get the smell of the spices that I sent to our friends of the store Black Pepper & Co, and I begin to salivate. Of truth, ‘I'm going crazy with the spices!
I did not resist very much time to prepare a recipe with some spice and chose ras el hanout (a spice blend arabs) that had never cooked with it, and I prepared a simple recipe to try out the flavours and possible combinations, the result has been impressive. The kitchen, the dish, everything smelled great.

- A chicken breast
- A teaspoon of ras el hanout
- Ground pepper
- An onion
- One/two cloves of garlic
- A cup of white wine
- 2 cups wild rice (1/person)
Put the fire a saucepan with plenty of water and salt, when it boils, pour the wild rice that will be about 18 minutes. In the meantime, we continue preparing the rest of ingredients for the stir-fry. When it is, drain and reserve.
Chop the chicken breast into squares a bit thick. Put a frying pan with a little olive oil to the fire, and when hot, add the meat salpimentada, what we want is the mark, not right on the inside.
When you have, put it in a dish and in the same oil (add more if needed) put to poach the onion cut in julienne with the cut garlic well tiny. When it is ready, add the chicken and a teaspoon of ras el hanout.
Let flavors to blend for a few moments and then add the white wine, let it simmer for the chicken to be made also, and reduce the sauce.
Once everything is ready, the chicken and wild rice, mix and sauté. After that, it only remains to serve and enjoy a simple dish but full of unique flavors.
