When we think of the best dessert recipes, always comes to mind ingredients, such as chocolate and other sweets but we can also find great desserts made with a base of fruits or acidic ingredients, as is the case of the Sweet lemon, a rich mexican recipe that I explain below and that I will love it.

The Sweet Lemon is a dessert terrific, and it also prepares a lot in Mexico. The recipe that we are going to give you is very simple and can be done between other ingredients with milk and flour to make cakes or tortillas, although in internet we can find other versions in which these two ingredients are substituted for milk condesada or dulce de leche.
Is a dessert a little acidic but very rich when served cold. To do this we will need lemon peels so that we can reserve the juice for other recipes or to make a refreshing lemonade.
- 1 ½ cups corn flour for tortillas
- 4 cups of milk
- The peel of 4 lemons cut in small pieces and thin
- 125 grams of butter
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites
We started boiling the milk with the lemon peels cut in julienne. Mix the flour together with the sugar and add the milk gradually, whisking constantly to avoid making lumps. Also slowly add the butter, piece by piece, stirring.
Once the mixture is thick remove it from the heat, you will add the egg yolks one by one while continue beating. After you put back the fire a minute later to let it cool down.
You beat the egg whites stiff and stir into the mixed above, are incorporated slowly with stirring motion so you do not end up with the air from the whites. Empty the mixture on a plate or tray and put in the fridge.
This dessert is served cold and for their decoration we can cut a few peels of lemon.
